A Stitch Through Time FINAL

The second series of ‘A Stitch Through Time’ has just been filmed, and the first series is back on your BBC Screens!

This week I am sharing my ‘Behind the Seams’ photographs for Episode One.

LOCATION

The location was a grand house just outside Moira, County Down. We filmed in November and it was freezing cold behind the scenes, but under the studio lights and under pressure it was hot!

MY DESIGN

The inspiration for the first episode was the Tilly and Henderson shirt factory in Derry. The brief was upcycling shirts and so I used every single piece of fabric from the shirts. I love Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood and how both these designers work with tartans and checks. I love that the designs are multipurpose and can be worn as a sleeveless coat as well as a dress.

WHAT I WORE

I made the dress I wore on episode one, it was stretch velvet and the fabric was vibrant on camera. I matched my nail polish to my dress colour every week for a bit of fun! What colour will I be wearing on Episode 2?
