LESLEY ON LOCATION
I love to see my students fashion creations when they send me photos from a holiday or event. Lesley (whose Victorian costume featured a few blogs back) is pictured here wearing her #memade silky trousers on holiday in South Africa.
Lesley purchased her fabric from Hab & Fab which is located below the Colour and Cloth sewing studio.
The cheetah print fabric was a one directional print which meant extra care was taken when cutting out the cloth to ensure that the cheetahs would all be standing the same direction.
I love that Lesley sent me a photograph of the cheetah’s she had spotted on her holiday!
She chose Simplicity sewing pattern to create her style, sewing a toile first to perfect the fit and design details.
Lesley added a side invisible zip ( so perfectly sewn in I can’t see it!)
I love this look – it is stylish, relaxed and very cool. The vibrant red and the golden cheetahs is very eye-catching. I wonder what the cheetahs thought!
Lesley has signed up for her third INTERMEDIATE SEWING COURSE. I look forward to seeing the printed African fabric she purchased on her trip. So colourful!
If Lesley has inspired you to sew a cool pair of trousers for your holidays, you can purchase a similar sewing pattern style here.
The fabric is available in various colourways in Hab and Fab.
