This one-day workshop is the perfect starting point for anyone new to dressmaking and garment sewing. Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or want to build proper foundations before progressing, this workshop will introduce you to the core skills needed to start sewing with confidence. If you're not yet familiar with your machine itself, we recommend booking our Get to Know Your Sewing Machine Workshop beforehand, so you can come to this session ready to focus on garment sewing skills. By the end of the day, you'll have a solid grounding in essential techniques, and you'll be ready to progress onto our Essential Intermediate Sewing Skills Workshop, held the following weekend.
